This announcement is a bit belated since we have already played a show with this lineup (Sat Jan 14 at Sweetwater Bar in Duluth), but we would still like to introduce you to the newest addition to the ENDERS GAME family. The addition is Chad Blackwell, former drummer of California death metal act Impending Doom. Chad is a killer drummer and we are very pleased to have him in the band and can’t wait to bring you more shows and more new music with his distinctive creativity and percussive fury! Come out and catch him at a show soon before he spontaneously combusts!
We just added a new show for St. Patrick’s Day, 3/17, at The Highlander in Atlanta. We love playing this venue and have some St. Patrick’s Day surprises in store for you. We’ll be teaming up with some great bands, Edgewood and Bierhammer… how can you go wrong with a band named Bierhammer? Oh yeah, and did we mention that the show is FREE? See you there!
Searchin’ the old Google today and stumbled upon a reference to our band, ENDERS GAME, in the book “New Wave of American Heavy Metal” by Garry Sharpe-Young. We are mentioned on page 155 in a section on the metal band Gnostic, saying that front man Kevin Freeman was formerly in Enders Game. Several band members also mention being in another Atlanta metal band, Caustic Thought.
Ann Bodan, wife of Halcyon Way axeman Jon Bodan and contributor to “The Backstage Beat” Atlanta Entertainment Magazine, posted this awesome review of our show at Sweetwater from Jan 14. Very nice review and some exceptional live photos!
We just received word from the promoter that our show this Saturday Jan 28 with Silent Civilian and Mureau has been cancelled due to issues with the venue. We regret that this show is not going to happen but thank BoStylz Entertainment for being professional and contacting us ASAP when it looked like the show wouldn’t happen. Enders Game is proud to announce that we will be performing next Saturday, Jan 28, with the national acts Silent Civilian and Mureau. This will be a great show and one not to miss! Silent Civilian hails from Los Angeles, California and features Jonny Santos from Spineshank. Their 2006 release “Rebirth of Temple” helped cement them as an upcoming band to look our for.
